I N S T R U C T I O N for medical use of the medicinal product INHAPHYTOL-2 (INHAPHYTOL-2)

Composition:

Active substances: 1 g of the herbal mixture contains
chamomile flowers (Matricariae flores) 500 mg,
leaf of eucalyptus viminalis (Eucalypti viminalis folia) 500 mg.

Medicinal form. Herbal mixture.

Main physico-chemical properties: a mixture of heterogeneous particles of light green, greyish-green, brownish-green, greenish-yellow, yellow, yellowish-brown, yellowish-white color with brown specks.

Pharmacodynamics.

The medicinal product exerts antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, reparative, and expectorant effects; demonstrates bactericidal and bacteriostatic activity against streptococci, staphylococci, Shigella, Escherichia coli, as well as against purulent and anaerobic microorganisms.

Acute and chronic respiratory diseases (pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

Special precautions for use.

"Ingaphytol-2" is a traditional medicinal product intended for use according to indications supported by long-term experience.

The patient should consult a physician if symptoms do not resolve within one week of using the medicinal product "Ingaphytol-2" or if adverse reactions occur that are not listed in the product's instructions for medical use.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Not recommended due to lack of specific studies.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Method of administration and dosage.

The medicinal product is used for inhalations and gargling.

Place 2 tablespoons of the herbal mixture into an enameled container, add 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, bring to a boil over low heat, remove from heat, and use for inhalation within 5–10 minutes.

Strain the prepared infusion, squeeze out the residue, and use undiluted in warm form for gargling—½ cup 3–4 times daily.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Store the prepared infusion in a refrigerator (at 2–8 °C) for no more than 2 days.

Children.

The medicinal product may be used in children aged 6 years and older for inhalations; for gargling, it may be used in children aged 12 years and older, as prescribed by a physician.

Overdose.

With prolonged and frequent inhalation use, dryness of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract may occur.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions are possible (hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling, urticaria, contact dermatitis).

If symptoms of the disease do not disappear within 1 week of using the medicinal product, or if any adverse reactions not listed in this instruction occur, use of the drug should be discontinued and medical advice should be sought.

Reporting of adverse reactions after registration of the medicinal product is important. It allows continuous monitoring of the benefit-risk balance of the medicinal product. Medical and pharmaceutical personnel, as well as patients or their legal representatives, should report all suspected adverse reactions and lack of efficacy of the medicinal product through the automated pharmacovigilance information system at: https://aisf.dec.gov.ua.

Shelf life. 1.5 years.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.
