INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT SEPTIL PLUS (SEPTIL PLUS)

Composition:

Active substance: ethanol;

100 ml of solution contains: not less than 95.1% and not more than 96.9% ethanol by volume.

Pharmaceutical form. Solution.

Main physico-chemical properties: clear, colorless, volatile, highly flammable liquid. Hygroscopic.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antiseptics and disinfectants.

Pharmacological Properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

Exerts antiseptic, disinfectant, and local irritant effects when applied externally. Ethanol coagulates proteins and is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as viruses. Exerts a "tanning" effect on the skin and mucous membranes.

Pharmacokinetics.

Not absorbed through the skin when applied locally.

Indications.

For disinfection of hands.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity. Should not be used in acute inflammatory skin conditions. Children under 14 years of age.

Special precautions.

If redness or irritation of the skin occurs, discontinue use and wash off the liquid with water.

Avoid contact with eyes!

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

When ethanol is used externally, interactions with other medicinal products are unknown.

Special precautions for use.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The use of the medicinal product during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only when the expected benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Has no effect.

Method of administration and dosage.

Externally – apply to the skin using cotton swabs or wipes.

Children.

Do not use in children under 14 years of age.

Overdose.

Cases of overdose are unknown with topical application.

Side effects.

With local use – irritation of the skin or mucous membranes.
