INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT DUBA KORA (QUERCUS CORTEX)
Composition:
Active substance: oak bark (Quercus cortex);
1 pack contains 50 g or 100 g of oak bark (Quercus cortex).
Pharmaceutical form. Bark.
Main physico-chemical characteristics: dried, groove-shaped and wrinkled pieces of bark from freshly harvested young shoots up to 6 mm thick, passing through a sieve with 7 mm diameter openings. The outer surface is light grey or greenish-grey, mostly smooth, occasionally with lenticels. The inner surface is pale brown or reddish-brown with slightly prominent longitudinal grooves. The fracture is astringent and fibrous. Odor is weak, characteristic, becoming stronger when the bark is moistened with water. Taste is strongly astringent.

Pharmacological properties.
The biologically active substances of the drug exert an astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effect.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, and other inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat (as part of combination therapy).
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Oak bark is prescribed by a physician only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.
Ability to influence the speed of reactions when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage.
Place 2 tablespoons of the bark into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and steep in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes. Immediately after, filter the solution and squeeze the residue into the filtered decoction. Adjust the volume of the decoction to 200 ml with boiled water. Shake the decoction before use.
Use for rinsing the mouth and throat 6–8 times a day.
The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.
Children.
The preparation may be used in children aged 3 years and older, under medical prescription.

Allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling).
Shelf life . 5 years.
Storage conditions.
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
