INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT BRILLIANT GREEN
Composition:
Active ingredient: brilliant green;
100 ml of solution contain 1 g of brilliant green;
Excipient: ethanol 60%.
Pharmaceutical form. 1% alcoholic solution for external use.
Main physicochemical properties: intensely green liquid with a characteristic odor of alcohol.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antiseptics and disinfectants. ATC Code D08AX.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
Antiseptic agent for topical and local use. Exerts antimicrobial action. The drug is active against gram-positive bacteria.

Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Skin infections and inflammatory conditions (pyoderma, furunculosis, carbunculosis, blepharitis) in mild form, as well as treatment of surgical sites and skin surfaces after surgery or trauma.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Special safety precautions.
Avoid contact of the drug with eyes.
The recommended application guidelines must not be violated, as this may harm health.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.
When used simultaneously with topical agents containing organic compounds, proteins may be denatured and new compounds formed.
Incompatible with disinfectants containing active iodine, chlorine, or alkalis (including ammonia solution).
When using any other medicinal products concurrently, inform your physician.
Special precautions for use.
Avoid contact of the solution with mucous membranes, as the alcohol contained in the preparation may cause burns and severe irritation. The activity of the preparation is considerably reduced in the presence of blood serum.

Apply to the skin surface, covering the surrounding healthy tissues when the integrity of the skin is compromised. In eye diseases, apply to the edges of the eyelids.

Side effects.
Allergic reactions (itching, urticaria). If the solution comes into contact with the eye's mucous membrane, burning, lacrimation, and possible burns may occur.

Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
Storage conditions.
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from fire.
