I N S T R U C T I O N for medical use of the medicinal product BRILLIANT GREEN
Composition:
active substance: brilliant green;
100 ml of solution contain 1 g of brilliant green;
excipient: ethanol 60 %.
Pharmaceutical form. Topical solution, alcoholic.
Main physicochemical properties: intense green-colored liquid with a characteristic odor of alcohol.

Antiseptics and disinfectants. ATC code D08AX.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
An antiseptic agent for external and local use. Exerts antimicrobial action. The drug is active against gram-positive bacteria.
Pharmacokinetics.
Local action agent. There are no data on absorption into the blood or participation in the body's metabolic processes.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Purulent-inflammatory skin conditions (pyoderma, furunculosis, carbunculosis, blepharitis) of mild form, as well as treatment of surgical sites and skin surfaces following surgery or trauma.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Special safety precautions.
Avoid contact of the drug with eyes.
Do not violate the application instructions, as this may harm health.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
When used simultaneously with topical agents containing organic compounds, it may denature proteins and form new compounds.
Incompatible with disinfectants containing active iodine, chlorine, or alkalis (including ammonia solution).
When using any other medicinal products concurrently, inform your physician.
Special precautions for use.
Avoid contact of the solution with mucous membranes, as the alcohol contained in the preparation may cause burns and severe irritation.
The activity of the preparation is considerably reduced in the presence of blood serum.

Apply to the skin surface, covering the surrounding healthy tissues when their integrity is compromised. In eye diseases, apply to the edges of the eyelids.

Side effects.
Allergic reactions (itching, urticaria). If the solution gets on the eye's mucous membrane, burning, tearing, and possible burns may occur.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
