1. What Vitaminum A 2000 + D 400 HASCO is and what it is used for
Vitamin A plays an essential role in the visual process (ensuring proper functioning of the retina) and is necessary for the growth, regeneration, differentiation, and function of skin and mucous membrane epithelium. It participates in bone mineralization and bone structure formation, as well as in reproductive processes and fetal embryonic development.
Vitamin D is a bioregulator of calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body, responsible for maintaining the balance between these two elements—the main structural components of bone tissue. Natural food products contain only small amounts of this vitamin (mainly in the form of provitamin), and even in a well-balanced diet, its content is low. Vitamin D deficiency leads to osteomalacia (softening of the bones) in adults and osteoporosis (bone demineralization, porosity, and fragility of the skeletal system) in the elderly.
This medicine is used for the prevention of vitamin A and D deficiencies. Such prophylaxis is indicated in individuals with limited sun exposure.
