1. What Callívoro Marthand is and what it is used for

It is a medicine containing a keratolytic agent (salicylic acid) that facilitates the removal of calluses, and a local anesthetic (benzocaine).

It is indicated for the removal of hard skin, corns, and calluses in adults (under medical supervision in individuals under 18 years of age).

2. What you need to know before starting to use Callívoro Marthand

Do not use Callívoro Marthand

• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to salicylic acid, benzocaine, or any of the other components of this medicine (listed in section 6)
• If you have diabetes or suffer from peripheral circulation problems.
• If the skin surrounding the callus is injured, inflamed, red, or irritated.

Warnings and precautions

It is recommended not to use other keratolytic products simultaneously on the same area.

Contact with the eyes, face, genitals, and mucous membranes should be avoided.

Children and adolescents

Use of this medicine in individuals under 18 years of age should only be carried out under medical supervision.

Use of Callívoro Marthand with other medicines

Do not use other products simultaneously on the same area.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

You should not use Callívoro Marthand during pregnancy, except for short-term treatment of a small skin area.

Oral forms (e.g., tablets) of this class of medicines may cause adverse effects on the fetus. It is unknown whether the same risks apply to Callívoro Marthand when used on the skin.

Driving and using machines

The use of this medicine has no effect on driving or operating machinery.

Callívoro Marthand contains natural rubber (latex).

It may cause severe allergic reactions because it contains latex derived from natural rubber.

3. How to use Callívoro Marthand

Follow exactly the instructions for administering this medicine as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Application in adults over 18 years of age:

1. Remove the patch from the sachet.
2. Cut a piece of patch the size of the corn or callus to be treated and remove the protective silicone paper.
3. Apply the cut piece onto the clean, dry affected area, covering it completely with adhesive tape.
4. Leave in place until the corn can be painlessly removed with the aid of a warm water soak (after 2 to 3 days).
5. If the corn or callus resists painless removal, repeat the treatment by replacing the patch with a new one.

If after 6 days the corn has not been removed or if symptoms worsen, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Use in children and adolescents

Patients under 18 years of age should only use this product under medical supervision.

If you use more Callívoro Marthand than you should

Due to the pharmaceutical form, overdose is unlikely to occur.

4. Possible adverse effects

Like all medicines, Callívoro Marthand may cause adverse effects, although not everyone will experience them.

Redness and irritation of the skin surrounding the callus or hard skin may occur.

If you experience any adverse effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist, even if they are adverse effects not listed in this leaflet.

5. Storage of Callívoro Marthand

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use Callívoro Marthand after the expiry date which is stated on the pack and on the sachet after “EXP”. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Medicines must not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Unused medicines and their containers should be returned to the SIGRE point at your pharmacy. If you are unsure, please ask your pharmacist how to dispose of any unused medicines and their packaging. This helps protect the environment.

6. Contents of the pack and other information

Composition of Callívoro Marthand

Per cm²:

• The active substances are salicylic acid (34.28 mg) and benzocaine (2.86 mg).
• The other components (excipients) are natural rubber (latex), rosin, and fabric backing.

Nature of the product and pack contents

Flexible medicated plaster containing natural rubber (latex), 7 cm x 4 cm. It consists of a film (brown in colour, semi-solid consistency, slightly adhesive) covering a white-beige fabric support. The adhesive side is brown and protected by silicone paper.

Pack containing 1 sachet with 1 cutaneous plaster (7 cm x 4 cm).
