INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT CAMPHOR SPIRIT CAMPHORSPIRIT

Composition:

Active substance: racemic camphor;

10 ml of solution contains: racemic camphor – 10 g;

Excipient: ethanol 70%.

Pharmaceutical form. Topical solution.

Main physico-chemical properties: clear, colorless liquid with a characteristic camphor odor.

Pharmacotherapeutic group.

Topically applied agents used for joint and muscular pain.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics. The medicinal product exerts antimicrobial, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and irritant effects.

Pharmacokinetics. Not studied.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Externally – for inflammatory conditions (arthritis, myositis, arthralgia, myalgia, sciatica), and for prevention of pressure ulcers.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity. Skin ulcerative-necrotic disorders, predisposition to convulsive reactions.

Special precautions.

Avoid getting the medicinal product into the eyes.

Avoid contact of the product with mucous membranes. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with copious amounts of running water.

Do not violate the instructions for use of the medicinal product, as this may harm health.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

Not established.

Special precautions for use.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicinal product should be used only if the expected benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to influence reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.

No effect.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Camphor spirit is applied externally to adults for rubbing in the indicated pathological conditions. The skin should be rubbed 2–3 times daily. The duration of treatment is determined individually.

Children

Not to be used in children under 12 years of age.

Overdose.

Increased incidence of adverse reactions. Treatment is symptomatic.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions, skin rash, urticaria, skin irritation, headache, dizziness may occur.

If any adverse events occur, consult a physician immediately!

Shelf life

5 years.

Do not use the medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
