INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT NAGIDOK KVITKY

Composition:

Active substance: nagidok kvitky;

1 packet contains nagidok kvitky (Calendulae flos) 50 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Flowers.

Main physico-chemical properties: whole or cut, completely dried fully opened flowers, without receptacle base, double forms and inflorescences – flower heads, as well as single-flowered forms of Calendula officinalis L., cultivated.

Pharmacodynamics.

Marigold flowers contain carotenoids (carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin, citraxanthin, rubixanthin, flavochrome), flavonoids (narcicin, rhamnetin, isorhamnetin-3-triglucoside, isoquercitrin), essential oil, saponins, the bitter substance calendin, resinous and tannins, mucilage, inulin, organic acids (malic, salicylic, pentadecylic), phytosterols, enzymes, vitamin C, and alkaloids. This complex of biologically active substances exerts anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, bactericidal, spasmolytic, and choleretic effects, and accelerates tissue regeneration processes. Preparations made from marigold flowers, when administered internally, promote regeneration of gastric and intestinal mucosa, accelerate healing of ulcers and erosions, and exert sedative, mild hypotensive effects, and support normalization of cardiac activity.

Indications.

Oral administration for gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, colitis, enterocolitis, inflammatory diseases of the liver, biliary tract and spleen; external use — for oral cavity diseases (oral candidiasis in children, gingivitis, pyorrhea, inflammatory-dystrophic form of periodontosis); for angina and tonsillitis — as part of complex therapy.

Contraindications.

Individual hypersensitivity to biologically active substances contained in the medicinal product.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Special precautions.

When using "Nagidok flowers" orally, do not exceed the recommended doses.

In peptic ulcer and gastritis with increased acidity, use together with antacids and spasmolytics.

Instructions for use.

"Flowers of Nettle" is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use according to indications supported by long-standing use.

The patient should consult a physician if symptoms of the disease do not disappear during treatment with the medicinal product or if adverse reactions occur that are not listed in the instructions for medical use of the medicinal product.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy or breastfeeding, "Flowers of Nettle" should be prescribed only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to influence reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Place 1 tablespoon of uncrushed flowers into an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain, squeezing the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water. Use warm, 3 times daily, 15–20 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ⅓ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ¼ cup; aged 7–12 years – 2 tablespoons; aged 3–7 years – 1 dessert spoon. Shake the infusion before use.

For external use, apply for rinsing the mouth and throat 3–4 times daily.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Children.

The medicinal product may be administered orally to children aged 3 years and older, as prescribed by a physician.

Overdose.

No reports of overdose have been reported.

Side effects.

In case of individual hypersensitivity to the drug, allergic reactions may develop, including hyperemia, skin rash, itching, and swelling.

If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the drug and consult a physician.

Shelf life. 2 years.

Storage conditions.

Store in a dry, light-protected place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

The prepared infusion should be stored for no more than 2 days in a cool place.
