INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT DILL FRUITS (FRUCTUS ANETHI GRAVEOLENTIS)
Composition:
Active substance: dill fruits (Fructus Anethi graveolentis);
1 packet contains dill fruits (Fructus Anethi graveolentis) – 50 g; 1 filter bag contains dill fruits (Fructus Anethi graveolentis) – 3 g.
Pharmaceutical form. Fruits.
Main physico-chemical characteristics: individual seminutlets (mericarps), rarely entire fruits (schizocarps), 3–7 mm long, 1.5–4 mm wide. The mericarp is broadly elliptical, slightly convex on the dorsal side and flat on the ventral side. Each mericarp has three thread-like dorsal ribs and two flat, wing-like lateral ribs.
The color of the fruits is greenish-brown or brown, the ribs are yellowish-brown. Odor is strong and pleasant. Taste is sweet-spicy, slightly pungent.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antacids, anti-ulcer and carminative agents. Agents for the treatment of acid-related disorders. ATC code A02X.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
The biologically active substances of the drug exert choleretic, spasmolytic, diuretic, and carminative effects; enhance gastric gland secretion, regulate intestinal motility, and exhibit expectorant properties.

Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Flatulence; inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis) – as part of complex therapy.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Unknown.
Special precautions for use.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Enhances lactation during breastfeeding.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage
Place 1 tablespoon of the fruits into an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain and squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the final volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water.
Take warm, 15–20 minutes before meals:
- Adults and children aged 14 years and older: for meteorism, 2–3 times daily, 1/5 cup per dose; for upper respiratory tract infections, 4–5 times daily, ½–1 tablespoon per dose.
- Children aged 7–14 years: 1 dessert spoon 4 times daily.
- Children aged 3–7 years: 1 teaspoon 4 times daily.
- Children aged 6 months to 3 years: ½ teaspoon 4 times daily.
Shake the infusion before use.
Alternatively:
Place 2 filter bags into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 mL (1 cup) of boiling water, cover, and steep for 15–20 minutes. Take warm, 15–20 minutes before meals:
- Adults and children aged 14 years and older: for meteorism, 2–3 times daily, 1/5 cup per dose; for upper respiratory tract infections, 4–5 times daily, ½–1 tablespoon per dose.
- Children aged 7–14 years: 1 dessert spoon.
- Children aged 3–7 years: 1 teaspoon.
- Children aged 6 months to 3 years: ½ teaspoon, 4 times daily.
The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.
Children
This medication may be used in children from 6 months of age.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Side effects.
Allergic reactions may occur in individuals with hypersensitivity.
Shelf life. 3 years.
Do not use the medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
Storage conditions.
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, in a place inaccessible to children. Prepared infusion should be stored at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.

50 g in packs with an inner pouch; 3 g in a tea bag; 20 tea bags per pack.
