INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT CHISTOTILU HERBA
Composition:
Active substance: 1 pack contains 50 g of Chelidonium herba (Chelidonium herba);
1 filter bag contains 1.5 g of Chelidonium herba (Chelidonium herba).
Pharmaceutical form. Herba.
Main physico-chemical properties: fragments of leaves, stems, flowers, and seeds of various shapes passing through a sieve with 7 mm diameter openings. Color is grayish-green with yellow-brown specks. Odor is characteristic. Taste is not determined (for packs).
Powdery mass of grayish-green color with yellow-brown specks. Odor is characteristic. Taste is not determined (for filter bags).

Pharmacological properties.
Biologically active substances of chelidonium herb exert choleretic, spasmolytic, analgesic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, and diuretic effects.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
As part of combination therapy in liver and gallbladder diseases (hepatitis, cholangitis, cholecystitis); in skin diseases (impetigo, psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema).
Contraindications.
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; neurological disorders, epilepsy, bronchial asthma, angina pectoris, organic liver and kidney changes.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Special precautions.
The use of bloodroot preparations is permitted only upon prescription and under medical supervision.
Before administration, the prepared infusion should be shaken.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Contraindicated.
Ability to affect reaction rate while driving or operating machinery.
The product may affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery, considering the ability of bloodroot preparations to suppress the central nervous system.
Method of administration and dosage.
Place 1 teaspoon of the herb into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion with boiled water to 200 ml. Take warm, ¼ cup twice daily, 15 minutes before meals. Treatment duration – 2–3 weeks.
Place 1 filter bag into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, cover with a lid and steep for 15–20 minutes. Take the infusion warm, ¼ cup twice daily, 15 minutes before meals. Treatment duration – 2–3 weeks.
For skin diseases, internal use of the infusion should be combined with external application in the form of compresses.
Store the prepared infusion at 8–15°C for no more than 2 days.
Children.
Contraindicated.
Overdose.
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, respiratory center paralysis, dizziness.
Treatment: discontinue the drug; symptomatic therapy.
Adverse reactions.
In case of hypersensitivity, allergic reactions may occur (including hyperemia, itching, and skin rash), nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases – paralysis of the respiratory center.
If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the medication and seek immediate medical advice.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
