Composition:active ingredient: 100 ml of solution contains 30 ml of liquid extract «Vigor» (1 : 1), obtained from a mixture of medicinal plant raw materials: sweet flag rhizomes (Rhizomata Calami) – 0.325 g; leaves of bogbean (Menyanthidis trifoliatae folium) – 0.065 g; common yarrow herb (Millefolii herba) – 0.432 g; bark of common oak (Quercus cortex) – 0.0325 g; fruits of sweet fennel (Fructus anethi graveolentis) – 0.185 g; rhizomes with roots of Leuzea carthamoides (maral root) (Rhizomata cum radicibus Leuzeae сarthamoides) – 0.03 g; flowers of linden (Tiliae flos) – 0.3775 g; leaves of peppermint (Menthae piperitae folium) – 0.135 g; herb of common wormwood (Absinthii herba) – 0.065 g (extraction solvent: 70% ethanol); excipients: granulated sugar, caramel, 96% ethanol, purified water. |

Pharmacological properties.Pharmacodynamics. Balm «Vigor» contains essential oils, tannins, flavonoids, carotene, organic acids, lactones, and phytoncides. The pharmacological effects of the medicinal product are due to the action of its components. The preparation has adaptogenic, anti-stress, antitoxic, and anti-inflammatory effects. It improves mental and physical performance, promotes digestion, and helps normalize cardiovascular function. The product enhances the body's resistance to various endogenous and exogenous factors and hypoxia, activates the reticuloendothelial system, and has immunomodulatory and anti-allergic properties. Clinical characteristics.Indications. Physical and emotional overexertion, stress, astheno-vegetative syndrome (increased fatigue, reduced performance, neurasthenia, sleep disorders); as part of complex therapy for inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract; convalescence period after severe infectious diseases. As a prophylactic agent for individuals working under conditions of exposure to chemical, radiation, and thermal factors, and for immune system support. |
| Contraindications. Increased sensitivity to any component of the medicinal product; acute and chronic poisoning with various chemical substances; severe forms of ischemic heart disease and essential hypertension; severe liver and kidney function disorders; epilepsy; alcoholism. Yarrow: increased blood coagulation, predisposition to thrombosis, increased sensitivity to other plants of the Asteraceae family (Compositae). Peppermint: bronchial asthma. Wormwood: increased gastric secretion, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, cholelithiasis, reflux esophagitis, history of pelvic organ bleeding, anemia. |
| Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions. Concomitant use of the medicinal product with nitrofurans, metronidazole may lead to the development of disulfiram-like effect; with oral antidiabetic agents, sulfonamide derivatives – development of hypoglycemic coma; with acetylsalicylic acid – increased risk of gastric and duodenal ulcer development; with sedatives – respiratory center depression. If concomitant use of any other medicinal products is necessary, consult a physician. |
Special precautions.The medicinal product contains a small amount of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per dose. Due to sugar content, the product should be prescribed with caution to patients with diabetes mellitus. Patients with gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn) should avoid using the product, as heartburn may worsen. |
| Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Vigor Balm should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. |
| Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery. The product is not recommended for individuals whose activities require high attention; the product may affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate complex machinery. |
Method of administration and dosage.Vigor Balm is intended for oral use in adults, 20–30 ml 2–3 times daily during meals. The treatment course is determined individually by a physician depending on the nature and course of the disease. The average treatment duration is 14 days; if necessary, it may be extended up to 30 days (after consultation with a physician). A repeated course is possible upon physician's prescription after a 5–7 day break. Children. Vigor Balm is not recommended for use in children. |
| Overdose. Symptoms: signs of intoxication, respiratory depression, severe poisoning, coma. Yarrow: dizziness, nausea. Wormwood: use in high doses, especially prolonged, may lead to poisoning – development of seizures, hallucinations, loss of consciousness; prolonged use may cause atonic constipation. Peppermint: irrational use of peppermint preparations may lead to chest pain. Long-term use of the medicinal product in doses exceeding recommended may lead to increased blood pressure, headache, development of alcohol dependence. Treatment: immediate evacuation of gastric contents (induce vomiting and gastric lavage), symptomatic therapy; in severe cases – infusion of 40% glucose solution with thiamine chloride, oxygen therapy, forced diuresis, artificial ventilation of the lungs. |
Adverse reactions.In case of individual intolerance to components of the medicinal product, allergic reactions are possible. On the part of skin and subcutaneous tissue: skin rashes, redness, itching, skin swelling, urticaria. In such cases, the product should be discontinued. On the part of gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting. Neurological disorders may occur with long-term use of the medicinal product in doses exceeding recommended: increased blood pressure, headache, development of alcohol dependence. Long-term use may cause so-called wormwood epilepsy; absinthe contained in wormwood may cause intestinal atony with prolonged use; contact dermatitis. If any adverse effects occur, use of the product must be discontinued and immediate medical advice should be sought. |
| Shelf life. 2 years. The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. |
