INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT ANTISEPTOL N

Composition:

Active
ingredients:
1 ml of the preparation contains 0.01 g of liquid chamomile extract (6:10, extraction solvent – 50% ethanol) (Matricariae extractum fluidum), 0.5881 g of 96% ethanol;

Excipients:
glycerin, purified water.

Pharmaceutical form.
Antiseptic tincture for external use.

Main physico-chemical properties:
Clear yellow liquid with a specific odor. Slight opalescence or formation of a minor sediment during storage is permissible.

Antiseptics and disinfectants. ATC code D08A X.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.
Exerts antiseptic, disinfectant, and locally irritating effects when applied externally.

Chamomile extract exerts anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects.

Ethanol causes protein coagulation and is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as viruses.

Pharmacokinetics.
Not absorbed through the skin when applied locally.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.
Furuncles, panaritium, infiltrates, mastitis in the early stages. For wiping and compresses. Surgical hand disinfection.

Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity. Should not be used in acute inflammatory skin conditions.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.
With external use of ethanol, interactions with other medicinal products are unknown.

Special precautions for use.
If redness or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use of the product and wash the liquid off with water.

Avoid contact with eyes!

Use of the product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the product may be used only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.
No effect.

Method of administration and dosage.
For external use – for wiping, compresses, and skin disinfection, including hands.

For compresses and wiping (to prevent irritation), the preparation should be diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio.

Children.
Use only as directed by a physician.

Overdose.
Cases of overdose are unknown with external application.

Adverse reactions.
With local application, skin redness, skin or mucous membrane irritation may occur. Hypersensitivity reactions are possible.

If any adverse events occur, consult a physician immediately!
