1. What is Tormentillae unguentum compositum and what is it used for

Tormentillae unguentum compositum is a multi-component medicine. The medicine has an astringent,
anti-inflammatory, drying, and mild antiseptic effect.
Indications:
The medicine is used for minor skin injuries, superficial abrasions, and scratches.

2. Information before using the medicinal product Maść pięciornikowa złożona

When not to use Maść pięciornikowa złożona

• if the patient is allergic to the active substances or to any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).
• on significantly damaged skin.
• on open wounds.
• in children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and precautions
Before starting to use Maść pięciornikowa złożona, discuss this with your doctor,
pharmacist, or nurse.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve despite using the medicine, treatment should be discontinued and
medical advice should be sought.
During use of the medicine, avoid contact with the eyes.
Children and adolescents
There is insufficient data on the use of Maść pięciornikowa złożona in children. Its use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age.
Maść pięciornikowa złożona and other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are currently taking, have recently taken, or plan to take.
Do not use together with other topically applied medicines.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a
baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicinal product.
Driving and using machines
This medicine does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Maść pięciornikowa złożona contains lanolin.
This medicine may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).

3. How to use the medicine Maść pięciornikowa złożona

This medicine is intended for topical application to the skin.
This medicine should always be used exactly as described in this patient leaflet, or as directed by a
doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. If in doubt, consult a doctor,
pharmacist, or nurse.
Unless otherwise directed by a doctor, adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: apply a thin layer of the medicine several times daily to the affected skin areas.

4. Possible adverse reactions

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause adverse reactions, although not everybody will experience them.
Local skin irritation may occasionally occur. If this happens, treatment should be discontinued.
If any adverse reaction occurs, consult a doctor.

If any undesirable effects occur, including any not listed in this leaflet, inform your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

5. How to store Maść pięciornikowa złożona

Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of the stated month.
Store in tightly closed containers at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer in use. This will help protect the environment.

6. Contents of the packaging and other information

What the medicine Maść pięciornikowa złożona contains
100 g of ointment contains the following active substances: 3 g liquid extract from Potentilla rhizome, 2 g ammonium sulfobituminat, 20 g zinc oxide.
Other ingredients: yellow vaseline, lanolin.
What Maść pięciornikowa złożona looks like and contents of the pack
The medicine is a light brown, homogeneous ointment with a characteristic odour.
Pack: aluminium tube containing 20 g or 40 g of ointment, placed in a cardboard box with a patient information leaflet.
