1. What VENUMREST is and what it is used for
VENUMREST contains the active substance diosmin, which belongs to a group of medicines called bioflavonoids. These act by strengthening the walls of blood vessels and improving venous blood circulation.
VENUMREST is indicated:
- for the treatment of a condition characterized by impaired return of blood to the heart (venous insufficiency);
- to strengthen fragile capillaries.
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.
2. What you need to know before taking VENUMREST
Do not take VENUMREST
- if you are allergic to diosmin or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking VENUMREST.
Other medicines and VENUMREST
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.
No interactions between VENUMREST and other medicines are known.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
VENUMREST does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
3. How to take VENUMREST
Take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are
in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Take the tablet with a small amount of water.
The recommended dose is 1 tablet twice daily, at regular intervals.
If you take more VENUMREST than you should
In case of overdose, the following symptoms may occur: diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, itching,
and skin rash.
In the event of accidental ingestion/overdose of VENUMREST, contact your doctor immediately or go
to the nearest hospital.
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take VENUMREST
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
If you have any doubts about using VENUMREST, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.
The following side effects may occur:
Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):
Indigestion (dyspepsia), vomiting
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
Colitis
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):
Stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, malaise, rash, itching, urticaria
Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):
Abdominal pain, swelling of the face, lips, eyelids (oedema), rapid swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat which may lead to breathing difficulties (Quincke's oedema), abnormal decrease in platelets (thrombocytopenia).

By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
5. How to store VENUMREST
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging after "Exp".
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not store above 25°C.
Do not dispose of any medicine via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of
medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.
6. Package contents and other information
What VENUMREST contains
- The active substance is diosmin. Each tablet contains 450 mg of diosmin.
- The other components are: macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate, talc, anhydrous colloidal silica.
Description of the appearance of VENUMREST and pack sizes
Carton pack containing 20, 30 or 60 tablets.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
