1. What RINOTRICINA is and what it is used for

RINOTRICINA contains tyrothricin, an antibiotic that can inhibit bacterial growth.
This medicinal product is used for the local treatment of bacterial infections of:

• the nose (rhinitis);
• the cavities connected to the nose, called paranasal sinuses (sinusitis).

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a few days.

2. What you need to know before using RINOTRICINA

Do not use RINOTRICINA

• if you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor before using RINOTRICINA.
The use, especially if prolonged, of this medicine may lead to sensitization phenomena
(excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances it has been in contact with). In such case,
discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to start an appropriate therapy.
This product is for external use only and must not be ingested.

Other medicines and RINOTRICINA
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, use this medicine only if prescribed by your doctor and under their supervision.
If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding with maternal milk, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

Driving and operating machinery
This medicine does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.

RINOTRICINA contains propylene glycol. It may cause skin irritation.
The container of this medicine is made of latex rubber. It may cause severe allergic reactions.

3. How to use RINOTRICINA

Use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have
any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
The recommended dose is 2–4 drops in each nostril, 3–4 times daily.
Method of administration
Administer the drops into each nostril by tilting the head laterally first to one side, then to the opposite side.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
If this medicine is used for long periods, damage to the nose (nasal mucosa) and disturbances in the sense of smell (olfaction) may occur.

5. How to store RINOTRICINA

This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after "Expiry".
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.

6. Package contents and other information

What RINOTRICINA contains

• The active substance is tyrothricin. 100 ml of solution contain 25 mg of tyrothricin.
• The other components are thymol, propylene glycol, purified water.
