Please read this leaflet carefully before using this medicine because it contains important information for you.
Use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has instructed you.

1. What DI MILL is and what it is used for
DI MILL is an eye drop containing benzalkonium chloride, a disinfectant (antibacterial).
This medicine is used to disinfect the eye when it is irritated by dust, smoke, or smog.
Consult a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.
2. What you need to know before using DI MILL
Do not use DI MILL
- if you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- in children under 12 years of age.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using DI MILL.
Do not use for prolonged treatments; consult your doctor if you do not notice improvement after a few days of treatment.
Avoid application if you have problems affecting a part of the eye called the “cornea” (corneal inflammations, wounds or abrasions).
The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products (for local use) may lead to sensitization reactions (excessive immune response to foreign substances the body has been exposed to).
In such cases, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to start an appropriate therapy.
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of certain disinfectants may lead to serious, sometimes fatal, consequences (see section 3 “If you use more DI MILL than you should”). In case of accidental ingestion,
consult a doctor immediately.
This product is for external use only and must not be ingested.
The active ingredient in this medicine, benzalkonium chloride, may cause eye irritation.
Other medicines and DI MILL
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.
Avoid simultaneous use of other disinfectants and detergents.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Driving and using machines
This medicine does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
DI MILL contains benzalkonium chloride (See section WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS)
This medicine contains 0.006 mg of benzalkonium chloride per dose, equivalent to 0.1 mg/mL.
Benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft contact lenses and may alter their colour. Remove your contact lenses before using this medicine and wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Benzalkonium chloride may also cause eye irritation, especially if you have dry eyes or corneal disorders (the transparent outermost layer of the eye). If you experience unusual sensations, burning, or pain in the eye after using this medicine, speak with your doctor.
3. How to use DI MILL
Use this medicine exactly as stated in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 2 drops in each eye, administered 2 or 3 times daily.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Use only for short-term treatment.
For correct use:
During instillation, avoid touching the eyes with the tip of the dropper.
Do not use this medicine while wearing contact lenses.
Avoid contact with soft contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before administration and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Decolorization of soft contact lenses may occur.
If you use more DI MILL than you should
At the recommended doses and when used correctly (instilled into the eye), symptoms of overdose are not known.
In case of accidental ingestion, nausea and vomiting may occur.
If you have accidentally ingested this medicine, seek immediate medical advice from a doctor or go to the nearest hospital, as serious consequences may occur, such as:
- difficulty or complete blockage of breathing (dyspnea, cyanosis, asphyxia) due to paralysis of the muscles involved in respiration;
- central nervous system depression;
- drop in blood pressure (hypotension);
- coma.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
This medicine may cause a burning sensation and eye irritation (intolerance). These symptoms should not be a cause for concern, as they have no consequences.

5. How to store DI MILL
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
This medicine must not be used more than 15 days after first opening.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging after “Exp.”. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of any medicine via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. This will help protect the environment.
6. Package contents and other information
What DI MILL contains
- The active substance is benzalkonium chloride. 1 ml of eye drops solution contains 0.1 mg of benzalkonium chloride.
- The other components are sodium chloride, sterile distilled water of Matricaria Chamomilla and Hamamelis Virginiana, purified water.
Description of the appearance of DI MILL and contents of the pack
DI MILL is a solution presented in a 10 ml bottle with a dropper nozzle.
