I N S T R U C T I O N for medical use of the medicinal product CHOLAGOGAE SPECIES № 2 (CHOLAGOGAE SPECIES № 2)
Composition:
Active substances: 1 g of the herbal mixture contains:
- Sand everlasting flowers (Helichrysi arenarii flores) – 0.4 g,
- Yarrow herb (Millefolii herba) – 0.2 g,
- Peppermint leaves (Menthae piperitae folia) – 0.2 g,
- Coriander fruits (Coriandri fructus) – 0.2 g.
Pharmaceutical form. Herbal mixture.
Main physico-chemical properties: a heterogeneous mixture of greyish-green fragments with specks of yellow, orange and yellowish-brown color.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Agents used in biliary tract pathology.

Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
Biologically active components of the drug increase bile secretion and exert choleretic, spasmolytic, and anti-inflammatory effects.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis, and angiocholitis with hypomotor biliary dyskinesia (as part of complex therapy).
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug (including plants of the Asteraceae family (Compositae)). Obstructive jaundice or cholelithiasis with presence of concrements larger than 10 mm in diameter; acute inflammatory diseases of the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas; bronchial asthma; increased blood coagulation, tendency to thrombosis.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions. Unknown.
Special precautions for use.
Use with caution in patients with gastroesophageal reflux or esophagitis.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contraindicated.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery. Does not affect.
Method of Administration and Dosage.
Place 2 dessert spoons of the herbal mixture into an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain and squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water. Take warm, 3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ½ to ⅓ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ¼ cup. Shake the infusion before use.
Place 2 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 mL of boiling water, cover, and let steep for 15 minutes. Take warm, 3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ½ to ⅓ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ¼ cup.
Store the prepared infusion at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.
The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.
Children. The drug is indicated for children aged 12 years and older.
Overdose. Possible symptoms include dizziness, nausea, increased blood pressure, and chest pain.
Side effects.
Allergic reactions are possible (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling, urticaria, contact dermatitis). If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the product and consult a physician.
Shelf life. 2 years. Do not use after the expiration date stated on the packaging.
Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.
Packaging. 50 g in packs with an inner pouch; 2 g in a filter bag, 20 filter bags per pack; 2 g in a filter bag, 20 filter bags per pack with an inner pouch.
Availability. Over-the-counter (without prescription).
