INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT VERONA (VERONA)

Composition:

Active substances: 1 capsule contains:
Dry extract of fruit of Tribulus terrestris (1:5) (extracting agent – water) 300 mg;
Dry extract of root of Withania somnifera (1:5) (extracting agent – water) 100 mg;
Dry extract of seed of Mucuna pruriens (1:5) (extracting agent – water) 25 mg;
Dry extract of seed of Argyreia speciosa (1:5) (extracting agent – water) 60 mg.

Excipients: talc, Acid Red 14 (E 122), FD&C Yellow No. 6 (E 110), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin.

Pharmaceutical form. Capsules.

Main physicochemical properties: red-colored capsules, size № 0, with the inscription "Verona" on both the body and cap. The capsule contents – powder ranging from light brown to dark brown in color.

Pharmacodynamics.

A complex herbal medicinal product with a biostimulatory effect.

The medicinal product restores and stimulates Leydig cells (which secrete androgens) by enhancing the secretion of luteinizing hormone. It promotes the development of germ cells and increases the number of Sertoli cells, which support and maintain the structure of spermatozoa, thereby enhancing spermatogenic functions. Verona affects morphological defects of spermatozoa, improves their motility, and increases the volume of ejaculated semen, thus restoring male fertility.

Verona also acts as a biostimulator – functioning as a geriatric medicinal product, it improves mental activity by increasing the amount of succinate dehydrogenase enzyme in the brain and liver, which in turn enhances cellular energy supply and provides nonspecific enhancement of resistance under stress and strain conditions. The medicinal product acts as an immunomodulator and improves adaptive capacity.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

As part of complex therapy:

• sexual neurasthenia, decreased libido, impotence, oligospermia, asthenospermia, unilateral or bilateral testicular hypotrophy, primary or secondary hypogonadism in men;
• fatigue and mental exhaustion.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to any component of the medicinal product.

Severe cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

Concomitant use of the medicinal product with diuretics may enhance the effects of the latter and potentiate the hypotensive action of antihypertensive medicinal products.

Concomitant use of the medicinal product with sedatives is not recommended.

If it is necessary to take any other medicinal products simultaneously, consultation with a physician is mandatory.

Special precautions for use.

Verona does not cause addiction.

Important information about excipients.

The medicinal product contains colorants FD&C Yellow No. 6 (E 110) and Acid Red 14 (E 122), which may cause allergic reactions.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The medicinal product should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

The use of this medicinal product affects the ability to drive or operate precision machinery (possible reduction in attention).

Method of Administration and Dosage

Before using the medicinal product, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Administer orally to adults. Take capsules in the morning (before breakfast) and in the evening (before bedtime), preferably with milk. The dose is 1–2 capsules twice daily. For general tonic support, 1–2 capsules per day are recommended. The usual duration of treatment is 4 to 8 weeks. In cases of impotence, the treatment course lasts 10 weeks; in cases of asthenooligospermia, not less than 18 weeks. The duration of treatment course is determined individually by the physician.

Children. The medicinal product should not be used in children.

Overdose.

Overdose is unlikely. No cases of accidental overdose have been reported.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions are possible, including urticaria and itching.

The medicinal product may irritate the gastric mucosa.

If any unusual reactions occur, discontinue use of the medicinal product and consult a physician immediately.

Shelf life. 3 years.

Storage conditions.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

Keep out of reach of children.

Packaging. 20 or 60 capsules in a bottle No. 1, in a cardboard box.
