Suppositories with pumpkin seed oil

Composition:

Active ingredient: 1 suppository contains pumpkin seed oil 0.5 g;

Excipients: hard fat.

Pharmaceutical form. Rectal suppositories.

Main physico-chemical properties: suppositories from light yellow with a greenish tint to green with a yellowish tint in color.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Agents used in benign prostatic hyperplasia. ATC code G04C X.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

Pumpkin seed oil contained in the drug composition comprises fatty acids (palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic), sterins, phospholipids, carotenoids, vitamins and microelements. The drug reduces dysuric symptoms in prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and exerts anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

In the complex treatment of prostatitis of various etiologies. Initial stage of benign prostatic hyperplasia (as part of combination therapy).

Contraindications.

Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Unknown.

Instructions for use.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Suppositories with pumpkin seed oil are intended for use in adult males only.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving vehicles or operating machinery.

Not studied.

Method of administration and dosage.

Administer rectally. For adults: 1 suppository (0.5 g) twice daily. The daily therapeutic dose is 1 g (2 suppositories). Treatment duration: 1 month for prostatitis, 3 months for benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Children.

The drug must not be used in children.

Overdose.

Possible intensification of adverse reactions, diarrhea, lethargy.

Side effects.

In individual cases, dyspeptic symptoms, diarrhea, and allergic reactions are possible.
