CAMPHOR SPIRIT |
Composition:active ingredient: racemic camphor; 100 ml of solution contain 10 g of racemic camphor; excipient: 70% ethanol. |
| Pharmaceutical form. Topical solution. Main physicochemical properties: clear, colorless liquid with a characteristic camphor odor. |

Pharmacological properties.Pharmacodynamics. The drug exerts antimicrobial, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and irritant effects. |
Clinical characteristics.Indications. Topical use in inflammatory conditions (arthritis, myositis, arthralgia, myalgia, sciatica), and for prevention of pressure ulcers. |
| Contraindications. Increased individual sensitivity. Ulcerative-necrotic skin diseases, predisposition to convulsive reactions. |
| Special precautions. Avoid contact of the drug with eyes. Avoid contact with mucous membranes. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with large amounts of running water. Do not violate the instructions for use of the medicinal product, as it may harm health. |
| Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interactions. Not established. |
Special precautions.Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of the drug is possible only when the expected benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant. Ability to influence reaction rate while driving or operating machinery. No effect. |
Administration and dosage.Camphor spirit is used externally in adults for rubbing in the indicated pathological conditions. Rub the skin 2–3 times daily. The duration of treatment is determined individually. Children. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. |
