INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
Composition of the medicinal product:
Active substance: hydrogen peroxide;
100 ml of solution contains 10 g of 30% hydrogen peroxide solution.
Excipients: sodium benzoate (E 211), purified water.
Pharmaceutical form:
Topical solution. A clear, colorless liquid.

Upon contact of hydrogen peroxide solution with damaged skin or mucous membranes, active oxygen is released, promoting wound surface cleansing and inactivation of organic substances (proteins, blood, pus). The use of the product results only in a temporary reduction in the number of microorganisms. The product has a hemostatic effect.
Indications for use:
The product is indicated for the control of capillary bleeding in superficial tissue injuries, epistaxis (nosebleeds), treatment of mucous membranes in stomatitis, periodontitis, tonsillitis, gynecological conditions, and also in purulent wounds.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the product.
Safety precautions:
Application of the solution to a dressing ensures painless removal from the wound. The abundant foam produced promotes mechanical cleansing of the wound from pus and tissue detritus. The product should be used with caution for the treatment of deep wounds and irrigation of body cavities due to the risk of gas embolism. The product is unstable in alkaline environments, in the presence of metals, free radicals of certain oxidants, and also when exposed to light and heat. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not violate the recommended usage instructions, as this may harm health.
Special warnings:
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding: permitted.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery: no effect.
Children: permitted.
Method of administration and dosage:
Hydrogen peroxide is applied directly to the injured area of the skin for disinfection of wounds (without dilution). For mouth rinsing, dissolve 1 tablespoon of the solution in 1 glass of water. For applications, wound surface treatment, and control of capillary bleeding, affected areas are treated with a tampon soaked in hydrogen peroxide solution. Treatment duration depends on the therapeutic effect achieved.
Overdose:
Not reported.
Side effects:
A burning sensation may occur at the moment of wound treatment. In some cases, local allergic reactions may develop due to individual sensitivity to the components of the product. Prolonged use for treatment of oral mucosa may lead to hypertrophy of lingual papillae. If any adverse events occur, consult a physician immediately.

3 years. The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
