I N S T R U C T I O N for medical use of the medicinal product TILIA FLOWERS (TILIAEFLORES)
Composition:
Active substance: Tilia flowers (Tiliaeflores);
1 pack contains: Tilia flowers (Tiliaeflores) 50 g;
1 filter bag contains: Tilia flowers (Tiliaeflores) 1.5 g.
Pharmaceutical form. Flowers.
Main physico-chemical properties: fragments of flowers, flower stalks, and bracts of various shapes; yellowish-white, greenish- or yellowish-gray, light yellow, yellowish-green in color.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antiseptics. ATC code R02AA20.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
The biologically active substances of the drug exert anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, diaphoretic, choleretic, and mild sedative effects, and enhance gastric juice secretion.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Orally – for colds, bronchitis; externally – for tonsillitis, stomatitis, laryngitis, gingivitis (as part of complex therapy).
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to biologically active substances of the drug. Pollinosis.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interactions. Unknown.
Special precautions.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. May be prescribed by a physician in cases where the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.
Ability to affect the speed of reaction when driving or operating machinery. Does not affect.
Method of administration and dosage.
Place 2 tablespoons of flowers into an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue, and add the expressed liquid to the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water. Take warm, 2–3 times daily after meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ½–1 cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ⅓ cup; 7–12 years – ¼ cup; 3–7 years – 2 tablespoons. For external use, rinse mouth and throat 3–4 times daily. Shake the infusion before use.
Place 3 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 mL of boiling water, cover and steep for 15 minutes. Take warm, 2–3 times daily after meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – 1 cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ½ cup; 7–12 years – ⅓ cup; 3–7 years – ¼ cup. For external use, rinse mouth and throat 3–4 times daily.
Store the prepared infusion at 8–15°C for no more than 2 days.
The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.
Children. The preparation may be used in children aged 3 years and older.
Overdose. No cases reported.
Side effects.
Allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling). If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the product and consult a physician.
Shelf life. 2 years.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.
Packaging. 50 g in packs with an inner pouch; 1.5 g in a tea bag, 20 tea bags per pack or in a pack with an inner pouch.
