INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT LINDEN FLOWER (TILIAE FLOS)

Composition:

Active ingredient: linden flowers (Tiliae flos).

Dosage form. Tea.

Main physico-chemical properties:
Filter bag: a powder-like mixture consisting of particles and fragments of various shapes, yellow-green in color, with inclusions of white and cream-colored particles of varying shades. Odor strong, aromatic.
Pack: a mixture of flowers, flower stalks, and fragments of bracts of various shapes, yellow-green in color, with inclusions of white and cream-colored particles of varying shades. Odor strong, aromatic.

Preparations used in the treatment of throat diseases. ATC code: R02A A20.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics. Lime blossom herbal tea has diaphoretic and anti-inflammatory effects. The use of lime blossom herbal tea in colds and acute respiratory diseases accompanied by fever, catarrhal symptoms, and general malaise promotes body temperature reduction and improvement of overall well-being. It exhibits a local anti-inflammatory effect. It improves the functions of the cardiovascular system, increases the body's resistance, and enhances resistance to infection.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Oral use in colds, bronchitis; topical use in tonsillitis, stomatitis, laryngitis, gingivitis (as part of complex therapy).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to biologically active substances of the medicinal product. Pollinosis.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Under the prescription of a doctor in case when the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Ability to affect the reaction rate when driving vehicles or operating other machinery.

Method of administration and dosage.

Place 2 tablespoons of linden flowers into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the final volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.

Use warm, 2–3 times daily after meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – 1/2 to 1 glass; for children aged 12–14 years – 1/3 glass; aged 7–12 years – 1/4 glass; aged 3–7 years – 2 tablespoons. For external use, rinse the mouth and throat 3–4 times daily. Shake the infusion before use.

Place 3 filter bags into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, cover and let steep for 15 minutes. Use warm, 2–3 times daily after meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – 1 glass; for children aged 12–14 years – 1/2 glass; aged 7–12 years – 1/3 glass; aged 3–7 years – 1/4 glass. For external use, rinse the mouth and throat 3–4 times daily.

Treatment duration is determined individually by a physician.

This medicinal product may be administered to children aged 3 years and older.

Allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling). If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the product and consult a physician.
