INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT BEAN PODS FRUITS (Phaseoli valvae fructum)

Composition:

Active substance: 1 pack contains bean pods (Phaseoli valvae fructum) – 50 g or 60 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Fruit pods.

Main physico-chemical properties: fragments of pods, stalks, vascular bundles, and membranes of white, yellowish-white, light yellow, or yellow color, occasionally with mottling or streaking of brown or violet color, of various shapes.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antidiabetic agents. ATC code A10X.

Pharmacological Properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

The active ingredients of the medicinal product exhibit hypoglycemic effects in mild type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as possess diuretic properties and promote normalization of metabolism.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Mild forms of diabetes mellitus; edema caused by kidney diseases; gout, metabolic disorders.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the drug; acute exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis or chronic enterocolitis.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions. Unknown.

Special precautions for use.

If symptoms persist for more than two weeks, consult a physician.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The safety and clinical efficacy of the medicinal product during pregnancy or breastfeeding have not been studied.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery. Has no effect.

Method of administration and dosage.

Place 2.5 g (1 teaspoon) of fruit pulp in an enameled container, pour 150 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain and squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 150 mL with boiled water. Take warm, 2–6 times daily, 20–30 minutes before meals. Before use, it is recommended to shake the infusion.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Store the prepared infusion in a refrigerator (at 2–8 °C) for no more than 2 days.

Children. Do not use in individuals under 18 years of age.

Overdose. No cases of overdose have been reported.

Side effects.

In case of hypersensitivity to the medicinal product, allergic reactions are possible.

If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the drug and consult a physician.

Shelf life. 3 years.

Do not use after the expiry date.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging, protected from light, in a place inaccessible to children, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.

Packaging. 50 g and 60 g in cartons with an inner packet.
