INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT DILL FRUITS (ANETHI GRAVEOLENTIS FRUCTUS)

Composition:

Active substance: dill fruits;

1 pack contains: dill fruits (Anethi graveolentis fructus) 50 g;

1 pack contains: dill fruits (Anethi graveolentis fructus) 100 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Fruits.

Main physico-chemical properties: individual half-fruits (mericarps), sometimes whole fruits (schizocarps), greenish-brown or brown in colour.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Agents for treatment of acid-related disorders.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

Biologically active substances of the drug exert choleretic, spasmolytic, diuretic, and carminative effects; enhance gastric gland secretion, regulate intestinal motility, and exhibit expectorant properties.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications. Flatulence; inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis) – as part of complex therapy.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Unknown.

Special precautions.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Contraindicated during pregnancy. Increases lactation during breastfeeding.

Ability to influence the speed of reaction while driving or operating machinery. No effect.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Place 1 tablespoon of fruits in an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and keep on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water.

Take warm, 15–20 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older with flatulence—2–3 times daily, 1/5 of a cup per dose; for upper respiratory tract diseases—4–5 times daily, ½ to 1 tablespoon per dose. For children aged 7–14 years—1 dessert spoon; aged 3–7 years—1 teaspoon; for children aged 6 months to 3 years—½ teaspoon, 4 times daily, 15–20 minutes before meals. Shake the infusion before use.

Store the prepared infusion at 8–15°C for no more than 2 days.

The duration of treatment course is determined individually by a physician.

Children. The drug may be used in children from the age of 6 months.

Overdose. No reports available.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions are possible.

Shelf life. 3 years.

Do not use the medication after the expiry date stated on the package.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.
