INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT HOSPISEPT (HOSPISEPT®)
Composition:
Active substances: 1-propanol, ethanol (denatured);
100 g of solution contains 1-propanol 55 g, ethanol (denatured) 15 g;
Excipients: skin care complex (dibutyl adipate), aromatic substance (Ralle fragrance oil), stabilizer (base: poly fatty acid ether), purified water.
Pharmaceutical form. Topical solution.
Main physicochemical properties: clear, colorless liquid.
Pharmacotherapeutic group.
Antiseptics and disinfectants. ATC code D08AX53.
Pharmacological properties.
Hospisept exerts bactericidal and fungicidal effects, is active against mycobacteria, and inactivates viruses, including HIV, hepatitis B virus, and others. Reduces the number of transient skin flora by 100,000 times within 30 seconds. Highly effective against resident skin flora, thus providing high-quality surgical skin antisepsis. Remains highly effective in the presence of protein, serum, and whole blood. Does not irritate the skin due to its excipients.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
The product is indicated for hygienic and surgical antisepsis of hands and skin in all fields of medicine, as well as in all cases where hygienic antiseptic treatment of hands and skin is indicated.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the product. Should not be used in acute inflammatory skin conditions.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

Instructions for use.
If redness or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use of the product and wash the area with water.
Avoid contact of the product with eyes.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Ability to influence the speed of reactions when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage.
Hospisept is intended for external use in undiluted form.
Antiseptic treatment:
- in healthcare facilities (wards, dressing rooms, procedure rooms, operating and delivery rooms, intensive care units, laboratories, infectious disease departments, dental offices, outpatient clinics, and other healthcare institutions);
- in sanitary vehicles and emergency medical service vehicles;
- in household settings for adults caring for patients, infants, and elderly individuals;
- in industry (food processing, pharmaceutical and cosmetic manufacturing);
- in public service establishments (barbershops, hotels, baths, saunas, etc.).
Surgical hand antisepsis.
Surgical hand antisepsis for medical personnel is directed against transient pathogenic microflora (transient flora) and against normal skin flora (resident flora).
Before using the product, hands must be washed and dried. Apply 3 mL of Hospisept in portions to dry hands and forearms, and rub in for 1 minute, keeping the skin moistened with the product throughout the entire treatment period.
Hygienic hand antisepsis.
Hygienic hand antisepsis is directed against transient microflora.
Before performing procedures or examining a patient, wash hands with a cleansing agent and dry them.
Apply 3 mL of Hospisept to dry hands and rub in for 30 seconds. After completing procedures (examination):
- if hands are not visibly soiled, moisten dry hands with Hospisept in sufficient quantity (not less than 3 mL) and rub in for 30 seconds;
- if hands are soiled, remove contamination using a single-use Hospisept wipe, then perform antiseptic treatment by rubbing 3 mL of Hospisept solution into hands for 30 seconds.
Skin antisepsis.
After hygienic antisepsis, wash hands with a cleansing agent.
The area of patient's skin to be treated should be thoroughly moistened with Hospisept and allowed to dry. Exposure time – not less than 15 seconds; for skin rich in sebaceous glands – not less than 10 minutes.
Children.
Do not use in children.

Side effects.
Skin or mucous membrane irritation may occur with local application. If any adverse reactions occur, consult a physician.

3 years.
Storage conditions.
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, away from open flames.
Keep out of reach of children.

250 ml in a bottle with a spray dispenser; 125 ml, 500 ml, 1000 ml in a bottle; 5 L in cans.
