INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT FORMIDRON

Composition:

Active substances: formaldehyde, ethanol;

100 ml of solution contain: formaldehyde solution 35% – 10 g, ethanol 96% – 39.5 g;

Excipients: eau de cologne, purified water.

Pharmaceutical form. Topical alcoholic solution.

Main physicochemical properties: clear, colorless liquid with a fragrant odor.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Dermatological preparations. Agents used for hyperhidrosis. ATC code D11A A.

Pharmacological properties.

The drug exerts disinfectant and deodorizing effects.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Formidron is used for skin treatment in cases of increased sweating.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Skin diseases. Children under 14 years of age.

Special precautions.

Should be used with caution in elderly patients and during pregnancy. Do not apply to the face to avoid irritation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Do not violate the application instructions of the medicinal product, as this may harm health.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Redness and itching of the skin after applying the medication indicate individual hypersensitivity and require immediate discontinuation of the medication.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medication may be used only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.

Has no effect.

Method of administration and dosage.

For external use only. Adults and children over 14 years of age should wipe the skin with a cotton swab moistened with the medication, 1–2 times daily.

Children.

Not recommended for children under 14 years of age.

Overdose.

Overdose should be avoided. With prolonged and frequent use, if redness, itching, or irritation occur—signs of overdose—treatment with the medication must be discontinued. Wash the medication off the skin with water. Symptomatic therapy.

Side effects.

Skin irritation, allergic reactions, sensation of itching.

If any adverse effects occur, consult a physician!

Shelf life. 4 years.

Do not use the medication after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
