INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT DUBA KORA (QUERCUS CORTEX)

Composition:

Active substance: oak bark (Quercus cortex);

1 packet contains oak bark (Quercus cortex) – 50 g or 100 g; 1 filter bag contains oak bark (Quercus cortex) – 1.5 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Bark.

Main physicochemical properties:

Ground raw material: bark fragments of various shapes passing through sieve №5600. Color is dark brown, light gray, silvery, or yellowish-brown. Odor is weak, characteristic, becoming stronger when the bark is moistened with water. Taste is strongly astringent;

Coarse powder: bark fragments of various shapes passing through sieve №1400. Color is dark brown, light gray, silvery, or yellowish-brown. Odor is weak, characteristic, becoming stronger when the bark is moistened with water. Taste is strongly astringent.

Pharmacodynamics.

The biologically active substances of the drug exert astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, and other inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat (as part of complex therapy).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Unknown.

Instructions for use.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

May be used under a physician's prescription when the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery. Does not affect.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Place 2 tablespoons of the bark into an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes; then immediately strain, squeezing the residue into the strained decoction. Adjust the decoction volume with boiled water to 200 mL. Shake the decoction before use.

Use for rinsing the mouth and throat 6–8 times daily.

Place 2 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 100 mL of boiling water, cover and let steep for 15–20 minutes. Use for rinsing the mouth and throat 6–8 times daily, each time using a freshly prepared infusion.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Children.

The product can be used in children aged 3 years and older.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions are possible (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling).

Shelf life. 5 years.

Do not use the drug after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions.

Store in the original packaging, out of reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Prepared aqueous extract should be stored at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.
