INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT BRILLIANT GREEN
Composition:
Active ingredient: brilliant green;
100 ml of solution contains brilliant green – 1 g;
Excipient: ethanol 60 %.
Pharmaceutical form. 1% alcoholic solution for external use.
Main physicochemical properties: intensely green-colored liquid with a characteristic odor of alcohol.
Pharmacotherapeutic group.
Antiseptics and disinfectants. ATC Code D08A X.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
An antiseptic agent for external and local use. Exerts antimicrobial action.
The drug is active against gram-positive bacteria.

Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Skin purulent-inflammatory processes (pyoderma, furunculosis, carbunculosis, blepharitis) of mild form, as well as treatment of the surgical field, skin surfaces after surgery and trauma.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Special safety precautions.
Avoid contact of the drug with eyes.
Do not violate the instructions for use of the medicinal product—this may harm health.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
When used simultaneously with topical agents containing organic compounds, it may denature proteins and form new compounds.
Incompatible with disinfectants containing active iodine, chlorine, alkalis (including ammonia solution).
When using any other topical medicinal products simultaneously, inform your doctor.
Special precautions for use.
Avoid contact of the solution with mucous membranes, as the alcohol contained in the medicinal product may cause burns and severe irritation. The activity of the medicinal product is considerably reduced in the presence of blood serum.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Apply to the skin surface, covering the surrounding healthy tissues when skin integrity is compromised. For eye diseases, apply to the edges of the eyelids.
