1. What N-T is and what it is used for
N-T is a medicine with combined astringent and anti-inflammatory effects. It acts as a drying agent on the skin, accelerates granulation and wound healing.
It is used in the treatment of poorly healing minor abrasions and small wounds.
2. Important information before using the medicine N-T
When not to use medicine N-T
- if the patient is allergic to the active substances or to any of the other components of this medicine (listed in section 6) or to boric acid;
- in newborns and infants with damaged skin;
- on extensive wounds and injuries.
N-T and other medicines
Inform your doctor about all medicines currently used or recently used, as well as any medicines you plan to use.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, or if pregnancy is suspected or planned, consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Driving and operating machinery
N-T has no influence on the ability to drive or operate machinery.
N-T contains lanolin. Lanolin may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
3. How to use N-T
For external use on the skin. Affected areas should be covered with a thin layer of the ointment several times daily.
Missed dose of N-T
Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Discontinuation of N-T
If you have any further doubts regarding the use of this medicinal product, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible adverse reactions
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause adverse reactions, although not everybody gets them.
In infants and young children, as well as with prolonged use over large areas of damaged skin, borax may be absorbed and cause adverse effects: loss of appetite, gastrointestinal disturbances (vomiting, diarrhoea), weakness, menstrual disorders, anaemia, disorientation, convulsions. The frequency of occurrence of these adverse reactions is unknown.

5. How to store N-T
Store below 25°C.
Keep the tube tightly closed.
Keep the medicine out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
6. Contents of the packaging and other information
What N-T contains
- The active substances of the medicine are: zinc oxide, ichthammol, borax, tormentil root tincture.
- Other ingredients: anhydrous lanolin, yellow vaseline, ethylaniline.
What N-T looks like and contents of the pack
An aluminium tube containing 20 g of ointment.
