1. What Morry Ointment is and what it is used for
Morry Ointment is a medicine containing the active substance salicylic acid. Salicylic acid has a keratolytic action (it dissolves keratin in the skin), helping to remove corns, calluses, hard skin, and common warts when applied to the skin.
This medicine is used in the treatment of hard skin and calluses, as well as common warts in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
You should consult a doctor if your condition worsens or does not improve after 4–6 days.
2. What you need to know before using Morry Ointment
Do not use Morry Ointment:
- if you are allergic to salicylic acid, salicylates, or any of the other components of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- if you have diabetes or circulatory problems in the legs.
- if the skin is infected, red, swollen, inflamed, irritated, or in areas of skin that are painful.
- on areas where there are moles.
Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to use Morry Ointment.
- This medicine is for topical use only (on the skin).
- Avoid contact of the medicine with healthy skin, face, neck, genitals, eyes, and mucous membranes. In case of accidental application to these areas, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
- Even with careful application, complete or partial shedding of the callus may cause some inflammatory reaction or redness.
In any case, if discomfort increases during treatment or persists after discontinuation, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Other medicines and Morry Ointment
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might need to take any other medicines.
Do not use other medicines for the removal of calluses, corns, or warts at the same time, such as medicines containing benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol, sulfur, tretinoin, or topical preparations containing alcohol. Using these products together could enhance their effects and increase the risk of adverse effects.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
You should not use Morry Ointment during pregnancy, except for short-term treatment of a small area of skin, such as a wart, callus, or corn.
Oral forms (e.g., tablets) of this type of medicine may cause adverse effects on the fetus. It is unknown whether the same risks apply to Morry Ointment when used on the skin for warts, calluses, or corns.
Driving and using machines
No significant effects on these abilities have been observed.
3. How to Use Morry Ointment
Follow exactly the administration instructions for this medicine as given by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.
This medicine is for cutaneous use (on the skin only).
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
Before application, wash the affected area with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Then, protect the surrounding skin around the corn or wart with petroleum jelly. Apply the ointment to the affected area twice daily, at bedtime and upon waking. After each application, it is advisable to cover the area with a piece of gauze or an adhesive bandage (the use of cotton is not recommended). Hands should be washed after each application.
Corns usually fall off on their own within 3 to 6 days. If this does not occur, wash the area with warm water to facilitate removal.
Use in children:
In children under 12 years of age, this medicine should be used only under medical supervision.
If you use more Morry Ointment than you should:
Due to the method of application, intoxication is not expected with topical use of this medicine.
In case of accidental contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Accidental ingestion may cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, confusion, dizziness, headache, tachycardia (increased heart rate), hyperventilation (rapid or deep breathing), and tinnitus (ringing in the ears). In case of accidental ingestion, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately or call the Toxicology Information Service at telephone number 91.562.04.20, indicating the medicine and the amount ingested.
4. Possible adverse effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may produce adverse effects, although not everyone will experience them.
If the medicine comes into contact with healthy skin in surrounding areas during application, irritation, inflammation, or even skin damage may occur. In such cases, it is recommended to temporarily discontinue treatment until the irritation subsides. When resuming treatment, special care must be taken to adequately protect the healthy skin surrounding the callus or wart, ensuring that the ointment only comes into contact with the affected area.
It has been observed that skin allergic reactions may occur frequently (affecting up to 1 in 10 patients).
However, if you consider any of the adverse effects you experience to be severe, or if you notice any adverse effect not listed in this leaflet, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

If you experience any type of adverse effect, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse, even if it is a possible adverse effect not mentioned in this leaflet. You may also report them directly through the Spanish Pharmacovigilance System for Human Medicines: https://www.notificaram.es. By reporting adverse effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
5. Storage of Morry Ointment
Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
The shelf life after opening the container is 2 months.
Medicines must not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Dispose of empty containers and unused medicines at the SIGRE Point located at your pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to properly dispose of containers and unused medicines. This will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the container and additional information
Composition of Ungüento Morry
- The active substance is salicylic acid, 500 mg per gram.
- The other components are: liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, and geranium-rose essence.
Appearance of Ungüento Morry and contents of the container
A whiteish-colored ointment.
It is presented in a screen-printed aluminum tube containing 15 g of ointment.
